coelacanth（n.）
肺鱼目，1850年，源自现代拉丁语 Coelacanthus（属名，1839年，阿加西兹），来自希腊语 koilos “空心”（来自 PIE 词根 *keue- “膨胀”，也是“拱顶，洞穴”）+ akantha “脊椎”（来自 PIE 词根 *ak- “尖锐，上升到一个点，刺穿”）。因化石遗骸中支撑尾部的空心鳍条而得名。
